Key Safe - Directions for Use

You can set a new combination for your Key Safe at any time -- quickly and easily.

The Key Safe operates on a patented system of two combinations. One combination opens the shackle (factory setting on 0-0-0-0) and the second combination opens the sliding key storage door (factory setting on 3-3-3-3). To change your combination, follow these easy steps.
  1. Set the dials to the combination that opens the shackle and open the shackle. (factory setting on 0-0-0-0)
  2. Using a coin or paper clip, turn the change button clockwise 90 degrees (1/4 turn) to the right. (The change button is on the right side of the lock, above the sliding key storage door). Never force the change button. If it is difficult to turn, make sure the numbers are lined up and that you have the correct combination.
  3. Turn the dials to the new combination you want for the shackle.
  4. Return the change button to the original position by turning it counter-clockwise 90 degrees (1/4 turn) to the left.

  It's that easy! Change your combination at any time, as often as you like.

The sliding door combination is automatically set when the new shackle combination is set. Follow the chart below to find the new combination for the sliding door.

Example 1: Shackle combination 7724 -- The door combination would then be 0057

Write your numbers down and keep them in a safe place.
The ShurLok is secure with 10,000 possible combinations so do not lose your numbers!

To change your combination in the future, always set the combination to your opening shackle combination before turning the change button.

NOTE: Some locks are stiff when new. If the lock will not open the first time, simply press down on the dials to settle them in place.
 
The Zero Locking Feature
  The Key Safe can be opened in the dark or by the vision-impaired by following these directions:
 
  1. Roll all numbers on the dials up and away from you. The dials will all stop on zero.
  2. Count the clicks up to your combination (Hint: if you will be using this feature often, we recommend setting your combination to lower numbers that are easier to count up to).
 
The Key Safe has a one year warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover forgotten combinations. Not liable for incidental or consequential damages or loss of combination. If you should lose your combination you can contact us and we can make arrangements for you to ship your Key Safe back so that we can reset it for you.
