Key Safe Instructions - Easy to Use

You can set a new combination for your Key Safe at any time -- quickly and easily.

The Key Safe operates on a patented system of two combinations. One combination opens the shackle (factory setting on 0-0-0-0) and the second combination opens the sliding key storage door (factory setting on 3-3-3-3). To change your combination, follow these easy steps.

Set the dials to the combination that opens the shackle and open the shackle. (factory setting on 0-0-0-0)
Using a paper clip or coin, turn the change button clockwise 90 degrees (1/4 turn) to the right.

Never force the change button. If it is difficult to turn, make sure the numbers are lined up and that you have the correct combination.
Turn the dials to the new combination you want for the shackle.
Return the change button to the original position by turning it counter-clockwise 90 degrees (1/4 turn) to the left.
It's that easy! Change your combination at any time, as often as you like.

The sliding door combination is automatically set when the new shackle combination is set. Follow the chart below to find the new combination for the sliding door.

The Zero Locking Feature

The Key Safe can be opened in the dark or by the vision-impaired by following the directions below:

  1. Roll all numbers on the dials up and away from you. By doing so, the dials will all stop on zero.
  2. Count the clicks up to your combination (Hint: if you will be using this feature often, we recommend setting your combination to lower numbers that are easier to count up to).

NOTE: Some locks are stiff when new. If the lock will not open the first time, simply press down on the dials to settle them in place.
